I wanted to design a Bomber that can easily adapt to both your lifestyle and the weather throughout the year. It’s made for transitions, with silk and performance fabrics that are breathable, cool to the touch and durable.

While Marfa Stance styles are inherently versatile, when I created the Silk Nylon Bomber, I deliberately integrated specific fabrics and details that would work all year round. I planned for the longer length to provide more flexibility in layering during winter. One side of the Flight Bomber is ideal for spring, lofty and fuller. The reverse side is designed for spring into summer, with extra padding for outdoor activities and free movement; I really tried to think about what you would want from a Bomber during warmer months.

 I also designed for versatility - not only functionally, but in the look and feel. The side with silk feels more elevated and sophisticated, while the other side is much more casual. Ultimately, this piece is all about adaptability. Whether you're layering in winter, traveling in summer, or switching between dressed-up and laid-back styling, it’s made to move with you through the months.

Blending the luxe softness and cooling effect of silk with the durability and resilience of nylon, the silk nylon fabric ensures that the style stays airy and breathable in the warmer months. The reverse side is made of ultra lightweight ripstop fabric to enhance the range and fluidity of the style.

 The bi-swing back offers freedom of movement, while the thoughtful placement of quilting, the streamlined zip closure and jetted pockets reduce bulk for a lighter, effortless feel. Double onion quilted forearm patches provide extra padding in key areas for function, longevity and comfort. Integrating quilted and non-quilted sections ensures that the Flight Bomber maintains structure while remaining flexible and easy to wear.

Each Flight Bomber takes about 6 hours to make. From fabric cutting to final quality checks, multiple artisans are involved to ensure each piece meets the highest standards. Quilting and paneling require precision, as each section is carefully placed to maintain the lightweight quality while enhancing the structure. The combination of the unique silk nylon fabrics and strategic design details makes the production process both intricate and time-intensive, resulting in pieces crafted for longevity.
