GEORGIA DANT, FOUNDER
A NOTE
FROM OUR FOUNDER, georgia
Marfa Stance launched from my kitchen table in May 2019, and over the years, despite challenges like the global pandemic, Brexit, and more recently, the US tariffs, we’ve been fortunate to witness immense creativity and genuine connections with our global community.
This year, I’m especially grateful for the incredible milestones we’ve achieved, both personally and professionally. On a personal note, I became a mother to my beautiful baby Sunny. Becoming a mum has been a life-changing experience in the best way and let’s just say, Sunny has already inspired so much of what’s to come for Marfa Stance in the near future. Professionally, we've opened two Marfa Stance stores- one in the Upper East Side and another on Ledbury Road in Notting Hill. These new spaces are a testament to the incredible support we've received from all of you.
A huge thank you, as always, to everyone who has supported us along the way, from the early days to all the new friends we've made. Your enthusiasm and belief in our vision have made this journey possible.
Introducing the Signature Quilt - our first product and already a Marfa Stance classic.
This versatile, reversible, water-repellent jacket blends style, function, and adaptability. With bi-colour reversibility, you get two jackets in one, making it easy to switch up your look. Designed for the modern explorer, it features a lightweight construction, relaxed fit, dropped sleeves, and an asymmetric hem - perfect for any occasion or weather.
The Signature Quilt has inspired many of our other products, including the Patchwork Cropped Quilt Jacket. This cropped fit is designed with customer feedback in mind and a commitment to repurposing leftover fabrics. Add a hood for extra protection, a collar for style and utility, or use it as a liner under parkas or raincoats. In colder months, layer it with a liner for warmth without sacrificing style. A piece that evolves with you, your needs, and the seasons.

This year we celebrated the opening of two new Marfa Stance locations—one on New York’s Upper East Side and the other on Ledbury Road in Notting Hill. These exciting new chapters mark a significant step forward for us, made possible by the unwavering support of our incredible community. Thank you for being part of our journey. Lofty, playful, and ultra-lightweight - our iconic reversible and adjustable Parachute styles are warm-weather standouts. Crafted from luxuriously airy Italian and Japanese Nylon, their water-repellent finish adds practicality to Parkas, Bombers, and Vests. Wear them oversized or cinched, and finish the look with our modular accessories.
Our Founder Georgia Dant chose the name “Marfa” after a trip to Marfa, Texas, where she was inspired by the minimalist artist Donald Judd. She chose “Stance” for strength and to represent the literal stance the brand is making in the fashion world.
Marfa Stance uses modularity as a system that allows people to customise clothing to ever-changing needs and wants, developed in a way that allows the brand to create responsibly and resourcefully.
Responsibility is woven into every facet of our brand, from what we design to how, where and why we produce our garments. Our ethical, social and environmental mission is figuratively and literally the fabric of our stance.
At Marfa Stance we choose to make 100% of our garments in small, family run factories. Every one of these factories is located in Italy, a country synonymous with quality.
Marfa Stance has joined forces with Renoon to introduce digital product passports, offering greater transparency around the environmental and social impact of each piece. By sharing details on materials, sourcing, and manufacturing, this collaboration supports our commitment to responsible, seasonless fashion and empowers our community to make more informed choices. Marfa Stance made its debut at London Fashion Week in September 2024, with a standout collaboration featuring Isabel + Helen, the acclaimed design duo known for their kinetic sculptures and innovative visual storytelling. The event, held at Park Village's Arena, featured a visually stunning fashion film and a relaxed atmosphere with a live DJ set, reflecting the brand’s modern, sophisticated vibe.
