Blanket, Sharon Williams and Cassandra Pettway

A unique juxtaposition of colours and fabrics, this striking blanket is the result of many hours work by Sharon Williams and Cassandra Pettway, artisans of Gee’s Bend, a community of Black women quilters in Alabama. In a first for Gee’s Bend, the women have created these works of art from a combination of leftover luxury fabrics from Marfa Stance production in Italy, as well as found fabrics from the artists themselves.

Due to the nature of this philanthropic collaboration and the special edition one-of-a-kind pieces, in which proceeds go directly to fund the Quilters and Community Manager in the Bend, all purchases will be final and non-refundable.
