TELL US ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND

I am a creative designer and trend and colour consultant based in Milan. My background is in printed textiles, I have been working for many years for Europe's leading textile companies designing for a wide variety of brands, from fast fashion to luxury houses. In 2015 I opened my own consultancy studio, where I art direct printed fabric collections, design custom prints and help brands take shape through colour and trends analysis. 

My passion for sustainable fashion started in 2013, when I co-founded one of Europe's first conscious brands; back then, sustainable brands didn't have a strong focus on design, and that was something I really wanted to try to change. Now, with my consultancies I also help brands to make conscious choices through design and to shift to a slower and thoughtful approach to production.

HOW DO YOU STYLE YOUR MARFA STANCE PIECE?

I love to wear my reversible trench in many different situations, it looks amazing styled for a formal work meeting or simply worn more casually for a walk around the city. My style is pretty minimalistic and without frills, that's why I love to invest in amazing, extremely well-made pieces that will both look impeccable and last over the years. 

WHY DO YOU LIKE THE BRAND?

When I discovered Marfa Stance I instantly fell in love with its incredible design and versatility.  The brand approach to sustainability is amazing and absolutely inspiring: you can really see how much love, passion and research Georgia has put into it!
