Signature Reversible Quilt
I am a novelist and the editor of Christopher Isherwood’s Diaries, detailed on my website - www.KatherineBucknell.com. I like to leave my writing and get outdoors at least once a day.
Right now, jeans, Penelope Chilvers boots, heavy sweater. But I have also worn it over a summer frock, and it worked like a silk evening coat. This is best without a collar, I think. Unless maybe I could get my hands on a Ruth Bader Ginsberg collar crocheted in silk?
The quilt is a bull’s eye – answers every drawback to every coat I’ve ever had, and I have more coats than I like to admit. It’s warm, it’s comfy, it’s light as a feather, it folds up tiny, it layers, and it has another color option for someone easily bored, like me. Nobody travels right now, but I know this is the coat I will take because I can throw it in an airplane rack or over a dress. But let me be honest: I fell in love with the look the first time I saw it in a photo. Kind of feminine, kind of tough. I bought it without knowing how practical it would be. Forget your Barbour and your mink and your biker jacket—this is the coat.
