Georgina's Marfa Stance

The Parachute Parka and Parachute Bomber

Tell us about yourself your career background

I started out my career working in television at ITV Granada in Manchester, it was something I always wanted to do growing up and when I graduated university, I applied for work experience which then led to a full-time position. I later moved onto making Television commercials which brought me to London. When I made the move, I was offered lots of jobs in the city and decided to take one in PR working with Purple. I thought this would be a great way to connect with and meet new people. The role expanded into celebratory management and Special Events, it was then that Gagosian approached me to set up a PR and Events division for their newly opened gallery, that was in 2006 and I have been here ever since!

Marfa Stance

How do you style your Marfa Stance pieces?

I don’t just like the brand I am slightly obsessed with it. It is so unique and clever to design coats that can be so versatile and styled so many different ways, they are sustainable, light, comfortable, super chic and different to anything I have seen. When I discover a new brand I love I feel compelled to tell everyone about it and many friends of mine are already ordering theirs for this fall!  I style mine with a pair of black Phillip Lim joggers, Valentino shearling, Clogs and a white shirt. I have the parachute parka and the bomber so can mix them up.
