Tell us about your career background

I was born and raised in New York City, baby! I worked in the fashion industry as an editor for about 20 years of my career at magazines like Teen Vogue, Nylon, Cosmopolitan, Women's Health and more. Then I became the Editor-in-Chief at Marie Claire US before I came to work at Pinterest. It's been a wild ride for sure!

What's your role like at Pinterest?

I oversee content and creator partnerships. This means that I work with our team in the core content areas of Pinterest (fashion and beauty, home decor, health, and food) to onboard creators who make content in those verticals. I also love working with fashion brands that are looking for ways to be successful on the platform. Brands can upload their full catalog onto Pinterest and it's a great way to access a new audience.

What advice do you have for working in editorial in 2021?

I love to see what the editors are doing this past year. There has been a big shift in content to be more inclusive which is very exciting to see. I particularly love to see Marie Claire thriving. I also love The Cut. There are so many new publications putting out content, whether it's podcasts, newsletters or social media, and it's wonderful to see so many different points of view. I grew up in the industry when there was a specific path that editors took to achieve a career. Now that whole rulebook is gone!

What are you most proud of?

Becoming a mom and being a good daughter to my own parents.

How do you style your Marfa Stance pieces and why do you like the brand?

I am obsessed with reversible and shape shifting clothing. This Marfa Stance jacket will be in my closet for years to come. I got the camo collar but I look forward to getting a hood in the winter. When I get back to more frequent travel I know I will be wearing this jacket every time I am on the road. More outfit options are always a good thing. Lastly I encourage people to go bold with their Marfa Stance jacket or coat. Add a bright collar or pick a wild colorway that is outside of your usual style. The reversible and removable aspect allows people to take risks that they might not otherwise. These items are an instant collectible and closet favorite. I'm already planning which one to get next, I think it will be the vest...
